This is a biography of Philo Farnsworth as he transitions form a teenage potato farmer to a scientific genius whose interest and passion in electricity and technology along with his perseverance lead him to be the first person to invent the TV. This is monumental when you take into consideration it was years later when RCA invented the TV and how influential the television is in society today. I chose to read and work with this text because I will be working with 5th grade students next year as a special education push-in teacher and this text may be among those used or related to topics my future students will encounter. I hope this assignment will provide me with useful information and skills to be a resource to both students and teachers.
